Makeup sponges are basically used to apply and remove makeups. It is available in many varieties and shapes. Triangular, smooth sponge wedges are best used to apply liquid foundations. A rough porous makeup sponges best used for makeup removal. Sponges should be stored separately from makeup, washed with hand soap every after used and air dried. Sponges should be replaced when they begin to crumble.
